You can only provide homes for Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023) if you are a registered homebuilder and approved for the scheme.
If you have registered for a previous scheme you will need to register for Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023).
Before you register, you must read the Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023):
• Participation guidance
• Funding administration agreement
This guidance gives an overview of the scheme, how to register, and the role we play as a Help to Buy agent.
Based on the Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023) Funding Administration Agreement, homebuilders can only participate in the new scheme, market or offer Help to Buy homes to homebuyers when they are in contract. Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023) is new and separate from the current scheme.
To become a Help to Buy homebuilder, please register your interest and submit a forecast on the Investment Management System.
For more information about how to submit a registration application, refer to Part 4 of the Help to Buy: Equity Loan (2021-2023) builder participation guidance.
We have produced video guides explaining how to upload properties for sale using Help to Buy onto our website. You will require an account to do this. Please sign up to the stakeholder portal in order to obtain access. We will then send an activation link to the email address provided.
You must follow the official brand guidelines when using the Help to Buy logo and imagery.
It's important that you follow this guidance. The use of this government-approved suite of logos and straplines is closely monitored.
Any advertising found to contravene the guidance or mislead consumers is regarded as a breach of the contract you agree to when you become a homebuilder registered for Help to Buy. You risk suspension from the scheme if you do this.
